Share payment details
The landlord saves the GCash, Maya, or bank details tenants should use. Those details can be shown in the invited tenant portal.

Receive and verify proof
After paying outside Paabangan, the tenant uploads proof. For cash, the landlord can record the payment directly after receiving it.

Approve the rent record
The landlord confirms the funds and approves the matching submission. The balance and payment history then reflect the reviewed record.
A safer way to reconcile rent payments
Do not treat a screenshot alone as final confirmation. Check the receiving account, amount, sender or reference, and intended rent period before approving a payment. Paabangan keeps the proof near the record, but verification remains the landlord’s responsibility.
Use one naming and reference convention across tenants. When possible, ask tenants to include a recognizable reference and select the payment method they used. Consistent details make duplicate submissions, wrong-month payments, and partial balances easier to investigate.
Separate reminders from accusations. A due or overdue status can trigger a neutral follow-up without assuming that a transfer failed. Once a payment is verified, update the record promptly so the tenant portal and landlord dashboard show the same result.

Common questions
Does Paabangan charge a percentage of rent?
Paabangan does not process the tenant’s rent transfer, so it does not deduct a payment-gateway percentage from that transfer. Optional product add-ons and SMS services have their own pricing.
Does a screenshot automatically prove that rent was received?
No. A landlord should verify the transfer in the receiving account before approving the record. Paabangan stores and organizes the proof-based workflow; it does not independently verify external funds.
Can I record a payment made in cash?
Yes. Landlords can record payments they received outside the app, including cash, and keep that entry in the same rent history as approved tenant submissions.
